Gel Cable Joints

Two-Component Silicone Gel

• Two-component silicone gel, 10:1 mix

• Shore A 0 · clear blue · re-enterable

• 450 ml bottle · demould 120 min

• For volume gel work and larger housings

Silicone 10:1 · Shore A 0 · 450 ml bottle · re-enterable

Model: EU-TSG02

Mix ratio

10 : 1

Hardness

Shore A 0

Pack

450 ml

Re-entry

Yes

EU-TSG02 is the 10:1 version of the silicone gel range: a small amount of catalyst to a large volume of base, which suits sites that use gel in quantity and want the working time that comes with a slower ratio.

Like the rest of the silicone range it cures to a clear blue Shore A 0 gel and can be re-entered.

Key features

  • 10:1 mix — small catalyst volume, longer working time
  • Shore A 0 — soft, re-enterable gel
  • Clear blue — connection visible
  • 450 ml bottle — sized for one or two housings
  • Quick cross-linking — 60 min cure, 120 min demould

10:1 is measured by the marks on the bottle; do not estimate.

Installation

  1. Measure 10 parts base to 1 part catalyst using the bottle marks.
  2. Stir slowly for 60 seconds, avoiding bubbles.
  3. Pour into the housing and leave to gel.
  4. Demould after 120 minutes; full cure 48 hours.

Typical applications

  • Volume gel work
  • Telecom joints
  • Larger housings needing longer working time
  • Re-enterable test points

Compliance and working data

  • Shore A 0 — re-enterable
  • Pot life 10 min at 23 °C
  • Demould 120 min / full cure 48 h

Ordering

  • 450 ml bottle, 10:1 ratio.
  • Ask for the mixing marks diagram if you have not used a 10:1 gel before.

Common questions

Why 10:1 instead of 1:1?

Less catalyst means a slower, more forgiving mix for larger volumes.

Can I get the ratio wrong?

It is easy to under-catalyse. Use the bottle marks rather than estimating; under-catalysed gel stays tacky.

Is it the same cured gel as EU-TSG01?

Yes — clear blue, Shore A 0, re-enterable.

How much does 450 ml fill?

Roughly one medium housing or two small ones; check the mould volume.
