Gel Cable Joints

one component silicone gel

• One-component silicone gel — no mixing, no ratio error

• Shore A 0 · clear blue · re-enterable

• Standard cartridge gun · 300 / 1000 ml

• For field repairs and tight handholes

Single component · no mixing · Shore A 0 · cartridges

Model: EU-SSG

None

Hardness

Shore A 0

Packs

300 / 1000 ml

EU-SSG one component silicone gel removes the last variable from a gel joint: there is nothing to mix. The cartridge goes straight into the gun, the gel goes into the housing, and the joint is sealed.

It cures to the same clear blue Shore A 0 gel as EU-SSG, so joints stay re-enterable, but the mixing step and the ratio mistake that comes with it are gone.

Key features

  • No mixing — one component, straight from the cartridge
  • No ratio error — the usual cause of a joint that never sets
  • Re-enterable — Shore A 0 gel, can be cut and topped up
  • Clear blue — connection stays visible
  • Cartridge 300 / 1000 ml — standard sealant gun

  2. Fill the housing from the bottom so air is pushed out.
  3. Leave to cross-link; the surface skins first and the body follows.
  4. Re-enter by cutting the gel, then top up from the same cartridge.

Typical applications

  • Field repairs without scales
  • Telecom and test-point joints
  • Small joints in tight handholes
  • Any site where mixing is impractical

Compliance and working data

  • Shore A 0 — re-enterable
  • Single component, no mix ratio
  • Moisture-cure silicone

Ordering

  • Cartridges: 300 ml and 1000 ml.
  • Ask for the shelf-life statement if you hold stock for more than a year.

Common questions

How is it different from EU-SSG?

Same cured gel, one component instead of two — no mixing, so no ratio errors and no waste.

Does it need moisture to cure?

It cross-links with atmospheric moisture; in a sealed housing it still gels, more slowly.

Can I use a normal sealant gun?

Yes, a standard cartridge gun fits the 300 and 1000 ml packs.

Is it re-enterable?

Yes, Shore A 0 gel can be cut and topped up.
