Epoxy 3:1 · Shore A 60 · pot life 10 min · demould 120 min
Epoxy resin cable joint EU-EP is a two-component epoxy casting resin for low voltage joints. It cures hard (Shore A 60) and is the grade to specify where the joint has to hold a shape, carry load or resist water pressure without deforming.
Part A is a transparent liquid, part B is black; mixed 3:1 the resin turns black and gels in about ten minutes, which is enough for one mould but not for a batch of joints.
| Type | Two-component epoxy casting resin |
|---|---|
| Mix ratio (A:B) | 3 : 1 |
| Component A | Transparent liquid |
| Component B | Black liquid |
| Pot life at 23 °C | 10 min |
| Curing time | 60 min |
| Demoulding time | 120 min |
| Full cure | 48 h |
| Colour after curing | Black |
| Hardness | Shore A 60 |
| Part number | Resin per bag |
|---|---|
| EU-EP080 | 80 g |
| EU-EP100 | 100 g |
| EU-EP120 | 120 g |
| EU-EP160 | 160 g |
| EU-EP350 | 350 g |
| EU-EP600 | 600 g |
| EU-EP1250 | 1250 g |
Bag size follows the mould volume; order the bag that matches the joint size.
Epoxy cures harder (Shore A 60) and holds shape; polyurethane stays more flexible. Choose epoxy for load and water pressure.
About 10 minutes at 23 °C. Mix only what one mould needs.
Curing slows below 15 °C; keep the resin and the mould warm before pouring.
Yes, after mixing. Component A is clear and B is black.
